Job description

We are seeking a Materials Laboratory Technician to support testing and evaluation of components used in turbine generator applications. This role involves hands-on work in an industrial lab, including sample preparation, execution of testing protocols, and operation of lab equipment. The technician will collaborate with engineering teams to deliver accurate results and support ongoing materials research and development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Perform sample preparation and operate laboratory test equipment for materials testing
• Conduct analysis on components used in rotating electrical generators
• Record, document, and communicate test results and observations
• Support engineering projects in collaboration with the Materials Engineering team
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure adherence to testing protocols and safety standards
• Assist with handling materials using forklifts or cranes as needed
Qualifications:
• Associate's degree or higher in Engineering Technology, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Applied Physics
• 2+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
