Job description

This position is responsible for the testing of materials for both internal and external customers. The main duty of the Quality Control Lab Technician I/II is to inspect finished goods, work in process and raw materials (new and those for extensions) for general workmanship and tolerances per specifications. Interact and communicate effectively with production, planning, customer service, and other support groups as needed.

SHIFT/SCHEDULE: Night Shift, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and hours are 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM / Three 12-hour days, pays 40 hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform standard evaluation and testing of batch samples from production and R&D
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Be dependable, ability to multi-task, productive and high-quality workmanship
  • Learn and follow established protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of results
  • Perform regular lab verifications and calibrations
  • Interact with Production personnel to ensure successful products
  • Assist in Environmental testing
  • Operate lab equipment: Refractive Index, Specific Gravity, Sensory, Data Analysis, Other lab equipment and testing as needed
  • Responsible for adding waste to a satellite accumulation container, labeling, sampling, analyzing, and transporting hazardous waste.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Consistent with MANE’s environmental commitments, employees will engage in awareness and practical training, relevant to job-related and job-specific roles and responsibilities, in order to adhere to applicable environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree preferred
