RAI Lab Technician

Pay Rate: $20.00

Job Description
Under supervision, performs routine analytical tasks within a research and development laboratory.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine analytical testing, operate laboratory equipment, and utilize current Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Prepare samples and perform analysis using appropriate techniques for the research and development program.
  • Assist with or perform routine chemical and metallurgical analyses.
  • Safely handle various chemical reagents.
  • Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
  • Execute administrative duties, including ordering supplies, departmental communications, and site interactions (both verbal and written).
  • Accurately collect and report results.
  • Assist in the training of laboratory personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and basic mathematical skills for routine calculations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of direct laboratory experience OR an Associate's degree with six months of related laboratory experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office or similar software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of mechanical/maintenance experience.
  • Experience with LIMS/STARLIMS.
  • Experience working with chemicals.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment (e.g., ph/ORP, auto-titrators, viscometers, particle analysis).
  • Prior analytical and/or research and development laboratory or mining experience preferred but not required.
