About the Role

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of our clinical team—performing a variety of lab duties with precision and care. From phlebotomy to sample processing, your work will directly support accurate diagnostics and exceptional patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture and waived to moderately complex lab testing
  • Execute phlebotomy procedures with safety, skill, and compassion
  • Process samples, manage order entry, and assist with phone coverage
  • Collect patient information and ensure awareness of hospital policies
  • Provide coverage across all shifts as needed

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Medical Laboratory Assistant Certification or equivalent degree
  • Strong communication skills (English required; additional languages a plus)
  • Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

  • Enrollment in a phlebotomy program or equivalent education
  • Phlebotomy certification (ASCP, NCCT, CPT-CCI)
  • One year of experience as a Phlebotomist
