Clear Choice Dermatology is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support our growing team in Salem, OR. This role is vital to the success of our lab operations, and we're specifically looking for candidates with a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree that includes a minimum of 60 science credits (biology, chemistry, or related fields).


The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical laboratory setting. If you're passionate about science and precision, we'd love to hear from you. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Accession and prepare specimens for analysis 
  • Label cassettes, H&E slides, and prepare slides for histology 
  • Organize and file pathology blocks and slides daily 
  • Coordinate send-outs (Castle, OHSU, Knight, Foundation One, etc.) via FedEx 
  • Handle chat group communications and document filing 
  • Scan requisitions, manage digital records, and maintain proper documentation 
  • Ensure laboratory cleanliness and equipment upkeep 
  • Follow all lab safety protocols and quality assurance standards 
  • Support additional lab tasks as needed
