Job Title Assistant, Lab, Emergency Medical Science (EMS), Curriculum Full Time/Part Time Part-time Job Description
The Emergency Medical Science (EMS) Lab Assistant works within the Emergency Medical Science (EMS) Curriculum program and supports program functions by providing student and faculty support during laboratory settings. It will also work to maintain program compliance with accreditation standards according to Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC), American Heart Association (AHA), Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) and Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAPSE). This position reports directly to the Director of Emerency Medical Science (EMS) Programs, with oversight by the Division Chair.
Duties/Functions
This position provides support to the Emergency Medical Science (EMS) Program in the following areas:
Assist the Program Director and faculty of Emergency Medical Science (EMS) Curriculum with all course paperwork.
Assist Program Director and faculty of Emergency Medical Science (EMS) Curriculum with lab and/ or class services to include gathering needed equipment, room set-up, take-down and exam proctoring.
Assist the Program Director and faculty of Emergency Medical Science (EMS) Curriculum with Scenario/ Role-Playing Exercises.
Assist the Program Director and faculty of Emergency Medical Science (EMS) Curriculum with evaluation of classroom or lab activities.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain student records.
Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor.
