Job description

Sunny Sky Products prides itself on our commitment and dedication to creating, manufacturing and delivering top quality products in the beverage industry. We have generated an extensive product portfolio that includes frozen dispensed beverages, cold dispensed, hot dispensed and beverage enhancers.

We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine and specialized testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished juice products to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role supports production by maintaining accurate laboratory data, identifying food safety and quality issues, and helping ensure consistency in product taste, appearance, and shelf life.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow GMP’s and wear appropriate PPE for the work being conducted.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Pull samples from production lines which involve walking, reaching, stretching, lifting, bending, and stooping.
  • Collect and test raw materials, bulk shipments and documentation
  • Accurately distinguish color variations in products.
  • Collect and maintain retain samples, and retain sample areas
  • Perform routine analyses: Fill weights, Brix, acid, viscosity, color, pH, flavor, temperature.
  • Perform micro analysis as needed
  • Print labels
  • Conduct Inventory Counts
  • Conduct Standard Operational Verifications
  • Daily Production Line Verifications
  • Conduct Shelf-Life testing
  • Data entry
  • Ship sample to customers, and outside laboratories for analysis.
  • Works within FDA regulations to ensure product compliance.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Complete all documents in compliance with SOPs.
  • Help write and accurately document procedures.
  • Assist in Customer complaint investigations, as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly lab.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Perform any other tasks delegated by QA manager/Lab lead.

Requirements:

  • Display good communication skills (English and Spanish is a plus) and the ability to work as a team with co-workers and plant personnel.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Be flexible and prioritize job responsibilities.
  • Ability to read English and Spanish (a plus) policies and procedures and adhere to them.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Participate in monthly plant training
  • Highschool Diploma or GED

Hours

  • Full time job
  • Monday - Friday, 6am-2:30pm
  • Occasional Saturdays.

Salary

  • $18.00 per hour
