HHA Responsibilities:

  • Daily personal care (bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, etc.)
  • Assist with the daily living activities per the Plan of Care
  • Monitor patients and report on their condition
  • Help with patient meals and feeding, as well as basic housekeeping functions
  • Accompany the patient to doctor's visits, shopping, and other essential errands

HHA Requirements:

  • Must have New York State Home Health Aide Certificate 
  • Government Issued ID, Social Security Card & Work Authorization, if needed
  • 2 Recommendation Letters
  • Recent Physical
  • TB Screening (Quantiferon preferred)
  • Flu shot 
  • Rubella & Rubeola titer lab work
  • Chain of Custody Drug Screen no older than 6 months
