About the role
Luma is seeking a Client Onboarding Manager with deep knowledge of the Annuity and Life Insurance industry to lead the implementation and onboarding process for new distributor clients onto Luma's advisor-facing platform. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring a seamless, high-quality onboarding experience that sets the foundation for long-term client success.
What you'll do
Client Onboarding & Project Management
  • Lead end-to-end onboarding for new Annuity and Life Insurance clients, managing timelines, deliverables, and expectations across all stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, onboarding documentation, and status reports tailored to each client's structure and distribution model.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure platform configuration aligns with client requirements.
  • Proactively identify risks, remove obstacles, and escalate issues when necessary to ensure project success.
  • Transition clients post-onboarding to the relationship management and client success teams for long-term support.

Platform Training & Adoption
  • Conduct platform demos, trainings, and workshops to educate client stakeholders across home office teams, operations, marketing, and financial advisors on platform capabilities and workflows.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on annuity and life insurance advisor workflows to guide client adoption and platform usage.
  • Provide recommendations on best practices for configuration, workflow setup, and integration based on industry knowledge and client goals.

Platform Configuration & Implementation Support
  • Ensure accurate setup of product configurations, marketing content, and in-force policy integrations where applicable.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to validate implementation requirements and support successful delivery.
  • Maintain a high level of detail and quality control across all onboarding components.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in the annuity and/or life insurance industry, preferably with experience at a distributor, carrier, or fintech platform.
  • Strong understanding of the annuity and life insurance sales process, product types, and advisor workflows.
  • Project management or implementation experience in a SaaS or fintech environment strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to manage complex relationships and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with an ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot, Zoho) and project management software (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Coda).
