What is an Lts?

LTS typically stands for 'Long-Term Support' and is commonly used in the context of software, such as operating systems or applications, to refer to versions that receive updates and support for an extended period. However, as a job title, 'Lts' is not a standard or widely recognized role. If you are referring to a specific field or industry, please provide more context to clarify the role and its responsibilities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Lts, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Lieutenant, you need strong leadership abilities, decision-making skills, and a solid educational background, often supported by relevant military or law enforcement training. Familiarity with command systems, strategic planning tools, and operational protocols is typically required. Outstanding communication, adaptability, and team management skills help a Lieutenant effectively lead and motivate personnel. These competencies are crucial for ensuring mission success, maintaining unit cohesion, and upholding organizational standards in high-pressure environments.

What are some common challenges faced by LTS (Long-Term Substitute) teachers, and how can they prepare for them?

LTS teachers often encounter challenges such as quickly adapting to new classroom environments, managing students' expectations, and seamlessly continuing curriculum delivery. To prepare, it's helpful to review lesson plans left by the regular teacher, communicate with school staff for support, and establish clear routines with students early on. Building rapport with both students and colleagues can ease the transition and improve classroom management. Collaboration with fellow teachers and staying flexible are key to succeeding in this dynamic role.

Director, AI Practice - Development, Growth, & Strategic Partnerships

LTS

Full-time

Job description

LTS is seeking an accomplished, entrepreneurial AI growth leader to establish, commercialize, and scale our AI services practice. The Director, AI Practice - Development, Growth, and Strategic Partnerships will personally drive the work required to build the practice-developing qualified pipeline, shaping, and winning strategic opportunities, creating market-ready offerings, and activating partnerships that expand LTS' capabilities, market reach, and revenue.

This is not a traditional people-management role or a relationship-only business development position. We are looking for a hands-on practice builder who has grown an AI consulting, professional services, or technology business and is prepared to do the work directly: open doors, develop offerings, cultivate partners, shape solutions, write and lead pursuits, and move opportunities from initial conversation through award and transition to delivery.

The ideal candidate combines commercial leadership with credible technical fluency. They can engage executives, mission and business leaders, product firms, cloud providers, architects, and delivery teams; frame customer challenges as practical AI opportunities; and lead those opportunities from market development through capture and transition to delivery.

Working closely with the EVP, AI and LTS executive leadership, this individual will help define the company's AI growth agenda and build a differentiated practice serving federal, public sector, healthcare, and commercial markets. The role is designed for a senior individual contributor who leads through personal execution, relationships, judgment, and measurable results, not through layers of staff.

What You'll Do:

Own AI Practice Growth
Personally own and execute the growth strategy, pipeline, bookings, revenue, and market expansion goals for LTS' AI practice.
Identify, qualify, shape, and pursue strategic AI consulting, implementation, and technology-enabled services opportunities.
Actively use established customer, industry, and partner relationships to create access, schedule conversations, accelerate opportunity development, and generate qualified demand.
Build executive-level relationships with customer decision-makers, mission and business leaders, technology executives, and procurement stakeholders.
Maintain disciplined opportunity and pipeline management, including growth forecasts, pursuit priorities, investment decisions, and measurable performance reporting.

Build and Commercialize the Practice
Personally develop and commercialize repeatable AI service offerings, accelerators, sales materials, and solution plays aligned with customer needs, market demand, and LTS' technical capabilities.
Define go-to-market strategies, target markets, buyer personas, value propositions, pricing approaches, and routes to market for the AI portfolio.
Translate emerging AI capabilities into clear, outcome-focused offerings that can be sold, delivered, scaled, and expanded across accounts.
Partner with the EVP, AI, architects, engineers, delivery leaders, and account executives to align the AI roadmap with market opportunities and client priorities.
Establish the operating cadence, growth metrics, and repeatable methods needed to mature the practice from early opportunities into a sustainable line of business.

Lead Strategic Partnerships
Personally establish and deepen relationships with leading AI product firms, foundation-model providers, cloud platforms, data and software companies, and systems integrators.
Understand partner programs, alliance models, co-sell motions, channel structures, marketplace opportunities, certifications, and partnership tiers-and translate them into business advantage for LTS.
Develop joint solutions, go-to-market plans, demonstrations, and pursuit strategies with strategic technology partners.
Negotiate and activate partnerships that expand LTS' capabilities, improve competitive positioning, create qualified pipeline, and accelerate customer adoption.
Maintain senior relationships within relevant AI and product companies and serve as LTS' executive point of contact across the partner ecosystem.

Drive Capture and Win Strategy
Lead opportunity qualification, customer shaping, capture planning, competitive positioning, teaming, and win-strategy development for priority AI pursuits.
Roll up your sleeves to own the business narrative and contribute directly to proposal strategy, solution framing, executive summaries, technical content, reviews, and oral presentations.
Bring together customer needs, LTS capabilities, partner technologies, pricing considerations, and delivery realities to shape differentiated and executable solutions.
Collaborate with growth, contracts, pricing, delivery, and technical subject-matter experts throughout the pursuit lifecycle and support a disciplined transition from award to delivery.
Represent LTS in executive briefings, demonstrations, conferences, industry forums, webinars, and thought-leadership opportunities.

Provide Market and Solution Leadership
Serve as a technically credible growth leader with practical knowledge of generative AI, large language models (LLM), retrieval-augmented generation, agentic AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and enterprise AI platforms.
Serve as a trusted technical Advisor to LTS AI initiatives, helping project teams apply current industry standards, technologies, architectures and leading practices to deliver secure, responsible and effective AI solutions.
Help customers evaluate use cases, expected outcomes, implementation approaches, data readiness, governance, responsible AI, security, and adoption considerations.
Monitor AI market trends, partner roadmaps, competitor offerings, policy developments, and evolving customer priorities; convert insights into actionable growth plays.
Ensure proposed solutions are outcome-driven, technically credible, commercially viable, and aligned with LTS' ability to deliver.

What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
10+ years of progressive experience across AI or technology consulting, professional services, practice development, business development, capture, alliances, or growth leadership.
Demonstrated success building or significantly scaling an AI consulting, technology, or professional services practice, including measurable pipeline, bookings, revenue, or market growth.
Proven experience taking AI capabilities to market and converting them into repeatable service offerings and revenue-generating client engagements.
A record of personally originating, shaping, capturing, and winning complex AI or technology services opportunities, not solely supporting pursuits led by others.
Strong relationships or demonstrated credibility with AI product companies, model providers, cloud platforms, enterprise software firms, and systems integrators.
Deep familiarity with technology partnership structures, including alliance tiers, co-sell programs, channels, marketplaces, joint solution development, and partner-led demand generation.
Experience leading capture and contributing directly to proposals, solution presentations, demonstrations, executive briefings, and oral proposal sessions.
Technical fluency sufficient to engage credibly with customer executives, architects, engineers, delivery teams, and technology partners while translating business needs into practical AI solution strategies.
Outstanding executive communication, relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills, paired with a strong bias for action and comfort operating as a hands-on individual contributor.
Ability to travel as required to support customers, partners, pursuits, and industry engagements.

Nice to Have:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience in a consulting, systems integration, digital transformation, or technology services organization serving federal and commercial customers.
Experience growing AI services within federal civilian, healthcare, Veterans Affairs, defense, or other regulated markets.
Established executive relationships across enterprise customers and leading AI ecosystems, including Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, OpenAI, Anthropic, NVIDIA, Databricks, or comparable firms.
Experience navigating federal acquisition, capture, contracting, teaming, and partner-channel environments.
Demonstrated success generating repeat business, strategic alliances, and measurable growth from AI-enabled consulting and implementation services.
Knowledge of enterprise AI governance, responsible AI, data security, cloud architecture, and compliance considerations in regulated or federal environments.

Why Join LTS
Artificial intelligence is reshaping how organizations serve customers, modernize mission-critical systems, and operate at scale. At LTS, you will have the opportunity to build a high-growth AI business backed by executive sponsorship, strong technical talent, and meaningful client missions.

This is a foundational leadership opportunity for a proven practice builder who wants to combine market vision, trusted relationships, technical credibility, and hands-on growth execution. You will not simply oversee the practice, you will help build it directly by defining what LTS brings to market, activating partnerships, originating, and advancing opportunities, and turning promising capabilities into a durable line of business.
