Are you a skilled loan officer who excels at sales but needs a little more loan experience before you're fully on your own? Or do you prefer having the security of a constant flow of incoming leads? If so, we may have the perfect role for you - at a time when most companies are laying off loan officers, we are actively hiring. We have a solid partnership with the area's top real estate team, which keeps our loan officers busy!
We are looking for a skilled Junior Loan Officer to join our top-producing team. You're responsible for taking the client through the entire home-buying process with an excellent support team to assist you. You'll maintain at least weekly contact with them, work with them to obtain documents for the preapproval process and then shepherd them through the loan process once they get an accepted offer.
This is an excellent way to solidify your lending experience and progress to becoming a senior loan officer. This position requires a unique mix of sales and customer service skills, plus the ability to identify potential issues with preapprovals and actively work to find solutions. Effective communication skills are essential for building relationships that help us to obtain future business.

Responsibilities
• Review options with the senior loan officer/ MLO to make a recommendation of which home loan product to recommend based on the applicant's financial status
• Gather financial information to assist with loan applications, prepare loan files, and assess applicants' financial situation and eligibility
• Create personal relationships with loan applicants - offer additional information and answer questions about home mortgage products
Qualifications
• Minimum 1-year loan origination experience or 2+ years loan officer assistant experience is required
• NMLS license is required
• Willingness to work varying hours as needed for client communication
• Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills are needed
• Knowledge of guidelines for loan programs and various types of loans such as FHA, commercial loans, VA, etc is an asset, but not required
