Position Summary
The role includes ongoing support and reliability of the LSEG ecosystem (Platforms, Networks, Applications, Services, and Websites). The focus of this role is to provide 2nd line support to the Operations and Project Delivery (Implementation) functions, ensuring operational stability and ongoing adaptability of the LSEG global network. Key responsibilities are creating and maintaining software automation that provides the reliability and availability of digital platforms and their software delivery pipelines.
Role Responsibilities
Supports the technology lifecycle through the design, build and maintenance of systems
Administer LSEG network services, ensuring applications and services perform against baselines levels
Monitors network services, focusing on availability, while identifying improvement opportunities
Handles service providers (telcos), third parties and partners as required
Makes technical design and amendment decisions and independently handles workloads
Crafts, reviews and maintains documentation, complaint with LSEG (industry) standards
Defines lifecycle management strategies for hardware and software, including capacity considerations
Supports the deployment of emerging engineering patterns across development teams
Translates business requirements into technical (network) requirements, through analysis of data
Collaborates to multiple projects in parallel providing regular updates to multiple partners
Builds and validates technical requirements, with emphasis on performance, resilience and operability
Gets involved into design work in the infrastructure and network domain, providing innovative solutions,
Support day to day network operational issues and manage enterprise network.
Required Skills & Experience
Rich experience in identifying and solving network issues, end-to-end.
Significant experience of routing and switching and Routing protocols (CCNA/CCNP preferred)
Significant experience in network operations, project delivery and engineering
Excellent experience in managing enterprise networks
Good in handling DDI/infloblox(L1 Support)
Excellent in handling and managing Wireless infra.
Significant experience with network technologies, including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet & F5 - at least 2 of these
Excellent network skills, including HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP and OSPF
Basic multicast skills, including IGMP, RP and PIM
Basic knowledge of firewall technologies, including next generation features & function
Basic knowledge of load balancing technologies, including application delivery control
Good knowledge of network packet captures, tooling and ability to analyse
Good knowledge of datacenter networking including Software Defined Networking, Cisco ACI, VxLAN
Good scripting and automation experience (Python, Ansible, Terraform, GIT, GitLab, Rundeck, etc)
Outstanding interpersonal skills, both spoken (verbal) and written English language abilities
Required Skills & Experience
Previous experience working in/with Architecture / Engineering / network operation teams
Previous experience working with banking infra and supporting financial institution network
Experience in Cloud, specifically cloud networking standard methodologies
Proven exposure to financial sector, including low latency (trading) environments
Experience in managing and handling Enterprise network.
