Job description

What You Can Expect In This Role
Operate under general company and department guidelines and direction to identify the needs for current and future activities within the department. Manage the process necessary to complete defined network projects and provide direction to other members of the Network Engineering Department for completion of assigned tasks. Design and implement the company's network infrastructure, resolve advanced support issues and ensure compliance with network security directives.
What You'll Do In This Role
• Provide direction and oversight to other Network Engineering team members for Network Engineering projects and activities (e.g. network device upgrades, access to internet resources, etc.).
• Perform research, offer proposals and provide direction on defining new standards for technology upgrades and installations.
• Research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and networking initiatives.
• Troubleshoot voice and data network infrastructure problems and associated component problems to include switches, routers and firewalls. Respond to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to available resources.
• Administer the network environment, including maintenance of a current system information network log.
• Create and maintain network infrastructure and WAN diagrams.
• Monitor and manage performance and utilization of the network environment and other networked resources.
• Use existing processes and templates to configure network devices in the existing environment.
• Hold primary responsibility for the administration, maintenance and operation of the network infrastructure.
• Perform daily operational tasks and system reviews to ensure proper execution of scheduled tasks and resolution of issues and requests.
• Operate as a representative of Infrastructure and Network Engineering with respect to infrastructure needs and impacts for Application Development projects and Business Initiatives as needed.
• Participate in a 24x7 weekly on-call rotation.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or equivalent training or experience Preferred
  • Minimum 8 years' experience managing computer networks Required
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools Required
  • Knowledge of network operating systems
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and cloud network architecture
  • Expert level capabilities in configuration/deployment and documentation of complex L1/L2/L3 data center leaf/spine topologies including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VxLAN, L2/L3, VoIP and Video topologies
  • Knowledge of Cisco routers and switches
  • Understanding of communication and routing protocols
  • Knowledge of coding languages for scripting a plus
  • Demonstrate ability to work on multiple projects and tasks, with the proven ability to deliver on commitments
  • Willing to work on a geographically-dispersed team
  • Exhibit good interpersonal skills, oral communication, and organizational skills
  • Possess strong analytical ability and problem solving skills

Salary Range Information
USD $74,301.00 - USD $139,314.00 /Yr. Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. For a narrower salary range specific to your labor market, please inquire.
