Job description

Human Resources Coordinator

Deliver an amazing Human Resources experience to the employees. Project a compassionate approach while maintaining a calm, positive energy in all interactions and any situation and/or need presented.

Answers department phone, helps maintain employee information fliers, copying, data entry and accurately enters information into a variety of spreadsheets such as attendance, disciplinary actions and more.

Support the Sr. HR Manager with broad Human Resource functions with an emphasis on Employee Relations activities. This includes handling employee concerns and complaints. Assist with Employee investigations acting as a witness to take notes and provide a write up. Utilize the camera and badging system to aid in employee relations issues.

Proactively consult and partner with Sr. HR Manager regarding employee matters, with an effort to provide solutions and recommendations to limit impact to operations, while incorporating Company values to support the culture.

Act as a resource to Plant Operations Manager, Supervisors, Quality team and all employees.

Oversee the Reception Area, greet visitors, monitor employee access, and ensure all safety procedures are flawlessly executed. Ensure supplies / office supplies are ordered and office is stocked.

Assist with ensuring compliance with Human Resources Federal and State regulations concerning employment with posting all legal requirements. Responsible for the Employment Board and all posted items such as job postings, programs, announcements, and legal postings. Ensure the Job Board is updated with legal and compliance items as well as update seasonally.

Assist with workers compensation, FMLA and other legal issues pertaining to employee productivity.

Conduct needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance the employee experience while positively impacting the culture with high engagement. Conduct Exit Interviews. Look at trends and make recommendations to address to maintain NOW as a great place to work.

Regularly attend Tier 2 meetings to build a strong understanding of business operations, leadership styles, and identify action items related to Human Resource activities.

Pay all Human Resources related invoices.

Help employees with setting up self-service in Kronos and UltiPro on their phones.

Assist with coordinating medical restrictions, work comp claims, employee leaves, and unemployment. Process terminations, create Employee Benefit Letters and send as needed.

Administer employee surveys and identify all tasks related to execute these activities.

Coordinate and promote the STAR Program for the facility and collaborate within Human Resources Team. Help with distribution and recognition efforts.

Monitor employee parking including Visitor, Expectant Mother, and STAR Sender/Receiver spots.

Assist with employee engagement activities, distribution of gifts and any other related HR programs which add to the culture.

Coordinates record retention for the department, including employee, medical, LOAs, and benefits folders as well as other HR forms such as I-9's. Responsible for proper storage of employee files.

Assist with matters related to the policies and fire for crisis issues facing the employees as well as updating our on-site security team. Included badging and camera systems.

Ensures there is supplies for employees and meetings.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field with 2+ years of experience

Properly uses, wears, and stores Personal Protective Equipment when required. Participates on safety teams and/or completes safety-related activities as part of regular job responsibilities.

Associates degree and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and the general public. Oral and written bi-lingual skills in Spanish is helpful.

Excellent problem solving and judgment skills required.

Ability to work extended hours, including off shifts and weekends to support business needs.

Strong knowledge of company policies, procedures, and employment law. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to effectively multi-task and to change focus and direction with no notice. Flexibility and strong initiative and teamwork skills.
