Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: RWJUH Hamilton Hospital

Pay Range: $27.61 - $33.17 per hour

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Administrative Assistant

As an Administrative Assistant, you'll help the pharmacy team run a smooth, safe office. You will work in a fast-paced medical environment where accuracy, strong communication and data management are vital.

As anAdministrative Assistant, a typical day might include the following:

  • Maintaining employee records, certifications, licenses and department files
  • Typing medication orders and updating records in Epic EMR system
  • Refilling and maintaining automated dispensing cabinets
  • Stocking and organizing medications and supplies
  • Tracking supplies using Acelis to assist with inventory, logging data and tracking medical supplies
  • Answering calls from doctors, nurses and drug suppliers
  • Filing invoices, patient logs and staff schedules accurately
  • Maintaining patient and physician referrals
  • Communicating manufacturer recalls and maintaining recall logs
  • Scheduling patients and entering patient information and referrals

To be considered for this opportunity, a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Extensive hospital pharmacy experience and administrative support experience is preferred. Working knowledge of Epic, Acelis, ADP/Kronos, Workforce (W2W), Microsoft Office, INMAR, and Pyxis.
