The Customer Sales Manager (CSM) is HALEON's "ambassador" to the trade and represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customer needs and expectations are met. The Customer Sales Manager will be responsible for building strategic relationships with Key External Experts in the industry.

With HALEON, you'll lead the charge in crafting industry leading long-term strategies for growth. You will leverage our brand and customer strategies to unlock unprecedented growth opportunities with your customer. Working with Haleon and Kroger you will have access to world class data and insights which you and your team will dive into and created shopper centric, data based plans which delight the shopper. Our ability to access, understand and leverage data to connect with the shopper is critical to our partnership with Kroger.

Forge strong relationships with Kroger's merchandising, marketing, insights and supply teams through impactful planning sessions, positioning HALEON as a strategic partner in their success story. Your role isn't just about selling - it's about building impactful plans which deliver better everyday health with humanity, while growing the business. Your ability to work across functional groups and drive focus will be key to your success.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Creating long-term strategies for business development, utilizing Brand and Customer Strategies alongside shopper insights.

  • Overseeing the development and execution of account penetration strategies, including developing strong relationships with our Trade Customers' Senior Management through top-to-top and long-range planning sessions.

  • Analyzing business results, competition, and customer data from multiple sources to develop insightful conclusions and action.

  • Documenting complex issues and proposals in a succinct and persuasive manner, presenting to diverse groups, and executing negotiation strategies.

  • Leading ongoing joint business planning sessions, balancing the achievement of Haleon's and the Customer's goals.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, setting goals, allocating resources, problem-solving, and providing recognition.

  • Deploying financial resources based on Category strategies and Brand objectives, working closely with account Finance Managers.

  • Proactively identifying competitive activity that may impact Brand and Corporate goals, providing recommendations and cost-effective action plans.

  • Assisting in developing new opportunities for customer action plans.

  • Presenting to peers, category business unit marketing, sales management, customers, and third parties to gain agreement on recommendations.

  • Assisting in creating and executing monthly category reviews and P&Ls to uncover trends for Category, Haleon, and Competitive brands.

  • Collaborating with Haleon's Customer Marketing and Strategy teams to ensure complete communication of trends and opportunities for category segment & brand development, executing strategic initiatives that build long/short-term sales.

*The position is based in Cincinnati, OH, and follows a hybrid model, requiring an in-office presence of 3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute long-term business plans and initiatives aligned with company goals and objectives

  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex issues, overcome challenges, and develop innovative solutions.

  • Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Experience in building and maintaining strategic relationships with key customers is highly desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively communicating with internal teams, external customers, and stakeholders.
