This position works out of our Columbus or Cincinnati, Ohio locations in the Nutrition Division.

Overview

The Omni Retail Marketing Manager develops and executes integrated marketing strategies that align brand objectives, customer priorities, and shopper needs across Kroger and delivery commerce platforms. This role leverages retailer partnerships, shopper marketing, retail media, eCommerce, analytics, and financial stewardship to drive omnichannel growth, optimize investments, and deliver measurable business results. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Insights, retailer, platform partners, and agencies, this individual connects brand strategy to customer execution.

What You'll Work On

Key Responsibilities

Brand Management

  • Be the voice of the Shopper in all Brand meetings.
  • Partner with Brand teams to translate shopper, retailer, and category insights into impactful go-to-market strategies and activation plans.
  • Responsible for integrating Shopper into all brand planning sessions, innovation and ideation meetings and Medical, Legal and Regulatory reviews.
  • Drive alignment between Brand and Shopper agency partners from briefing through activation to ensure integrated messaging and execution.
  • Act as the primary advisor to Brand teams on Shopper Marketing requests or questions.

Kroger & Delivery Platforms Strategy

  • Own omnichannel marketing strategy and customer relationships across Kroger, Instacart, DoorDash, and emerging commerce partners, serving as the primary marketing lead for customer-specific growth initiatives.
  • Develop customer-specific commerce strategies informed by shopper insights, category trends, retailer priorities, performance analytics, and opportunities to drive household penetration, conversion, and category growth.
  • Lead annual planning with Kroger and delivery partners, aligning marketing investments, promotional priorities, customer objectives, and Joint Business Plan commitments.
  • Partner with Sales, Category Management, eCommerce, and agency teams to develop and execute integrated omnichannel marketing programs across in-store, digital, retail media, and delivery channels.
  • Own customer marketing plans spanning retail media, shopper marketing, digital merchandising, promotions, seasonal activations, and partnership opportunities.
  • Identify and activate strategic partnership opportunities with Kroger and delivery platforms that enhance brand visibility, shopper engagement, and business performance.
  • Collaborate with retailer, agency, and internal stakeholders to optimize investments and improve campaign effectiveness based on agreed-upon KPIs and business objectives.
  • Provide customer, category, and shopper insights to inform activation strategies, content enhancements, promotional programs, and investment decisions.
  • Own customer-level performance reporting, scorecards, post-program analyses, and optimization recommendations, capturing key learnings and best practices.
  • Monitor Joint Business Plan commitments, customer priorities, investment effectiveness, risks, and incremental growth opportunities.
  • Track competitive activity, retailer capabilities, commerce trends, and shopper behaviors to identify opportunities for innovation and future growth.

Financial Stewardship & Agency Management

  • Manage customer marketing budgets and investments, tracking spend and performance, to maximize business impact and return on investment.
  • Ensure disciplined management of agency partners and project timelines across all omni-channel initiatives.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of experience in CPG omni-channel marketing, retail media, shopper marketing, eCommerce, or related disciplines.
  • 2-5 Years experience working with National Accounts (i.e. Kroger)
  • Previous experience leveraging shopper, consumer, and performance data to develop marketing strategies and drive business results.
  • Strong knowledge of retail marketing, brand marketing, sales, and omni-channel commerce.
  • Experience managing agency and external partner relationships.
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated project management, organizational, and budget management experience.
  • Experience in 84.51/KPM databases and systems preferred (ie: CAAM, Statum, PRISM, and Promote IQ)
