Dishwasher (Bakery Production & Support)


Arsicault Bakery, a San Francisco original since 2015, known for having one of the best croissants in the Bay Area and beyond according to news outlets such as Bon Appétit, KQED, CNBC, TripAdvisor, NBC Bay Area, SFGate, etc., is growing! Situated conveniently in the heart of San Francisco, our Civic Center location at 87 McAllister Street is looking for a Dishwasher to join our dynamic team.


Position Summary


We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to support our bakery and kitchen operations. This role is essential to maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency across both production and service areas.



Key Responsibilities


Dishwashing & Kitchen Support

• Clean and sanitize all trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment

• Properly load and operate the dishwashing machine

• Ensure all items are rinsed and free of soap residue before use

• Assist with organizing clean trays and equipment for kitchen staff

• Help unload dish racks and maintain workflow efficiency


Sanitation & Cleanliness

• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation at all times

• Keep dishwashing and soap areas organized and stocked

• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards


Cleaning Duties

• Sweep and mop the kitchen regularly

• Clean and maintain the dining area as needed

• Sweep and mop stairways and common areas

• Take out trash and replace liners when required

• Replace trash bags and maintain waste stations


Closing Responsibilities

• Complete assigned cleaning checklist before end of shift

• Ensure all areas are clean and organized

• Turn off dishwashing equipment and workstations

• Set and secure alarm system at closing (if applicable)



Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization

• Team player with good communication skills

• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency

• Previous kitchen or dishwasher experience is a plus, but not required



Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods

• Ability to lift and carry trays, bins, and supplies

• Comfortable working in a wet and fast-paced environment
