Role and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin objectives.
  • Lead the sales engineering team to identify, qualify, and secure high volume, long-term OEM partnership
  • Mentor, lead, and develop a team of regional sales engineers to drive performance
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for senior-level engineering stakeholders at major OEM partners
  • Oversee the technical application process-providing specialized expertise to guide clients through design qualification, reliability activities, and optimal component pairings
  • Identify industry trends, competitor product strengths, and emerging technological needs
  • Act as the internal voice of the customer to influence R&D and product roadmap decision at HQ
  • Work with sales, marketing teams to create compelling presentations, white papers, and proposals showcasing the total value proposition of Samsung compressor technology
  • Guide customers in testing and qualifying new compressors
  • Find business opportunities with new customers and expand market share in the residential/commercial HVAC sectors
  • Technical support to HVAC OEM customers during qualification and reliability activities
  • Assist as needed in developing the customer business case for new concept solutions
  • Perform detailed engineering analysis to quantify cost savings or other customer benefits
  • Provides daily interactions with Samsung sales, quality, R&D, and designated OEM partners
  • Communication channels between Korea HQ and customers during sales activities
  • Participate in trade show and exhibitions in connection with compressor business
  • Ability to travel approx. 30% domestically (OEM manufacturing and R&D sites)
  • Dynamic personality with great leadership, management, and sales
  • Possess strong analytical capabilities and ability to manage tasks associated with development projects
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 15+ years of experience in HVAC compressor sales or application engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior technical role
  • Experience with and understanding of compressor technology (rotary, scroll, inverter drives) and OEM HVAC system design (Heat Pump, Residential/Commercial AC)
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing complex, long-cycle sales processes
  • Professional experience and knowledge of project specifications and blueprints
  • Experience with ASHRAE standards and regulations
  • Prior experience as a leader in a team setting
  • Fluent in Korean and English
