Boeing Defense, Space & Security is hiring for an F-15 Korea Project Management Specialist Individual Contributor 4 (WASMI4) to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, Missouri.
In this challenging and global role, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting growth and execution efforts on the F-15 Korea program. The F-15 Korea program is executing multiple major capability upgrade programs across the entire F-15 Korea fleet, consisting of multiple Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts.
The selected candidate will be responsible for executing various projects, implementing Program Management Best Practices, to support multiple efforts that are critical to the overall success of the F-15 Korea program. The F-15K Project Management Specialist will be a key member of the F-15 Korea Program Management team and will be required to partner with various capability and functional leaders across both BDS and BGS.
This position will require the selected candidate to demonstrate strong communication and coordination skills, supporting multiple efforts which requires both internal and external collaboration with the USAF, Korean customer, and various Boeing suppliers.
This role is primarily first shift, but requires engagement with stakeholders in Korea - which will include late evening meetings during Korea business hours, customer engagements, etc. The position will require some occasional international travel to Korea and domestic travel.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops and uses collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
  • Builds rapport and trust among stakeholders and leverages the organization's dynamics to promote program goals by focusing on a shared vision.
  • This role relies on the ability to execute the program through formal channels, but primarily through execution of engaging an informal network through the Program Management team's capability partners.
  • The role will need someone skilled in communication as this role includes significant breadth of stakeholders in Korea and in the US.
  • The role requires the ability to achieve the desired outcomes on programs/projects, on-time and within budget.
  • Prior experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) is preferred, but not required. Understanding of system integration, test build-up, and verification/validation activities for the various components.
  • As well as understanding the procurement of Boeing-sourced and/or supplier-sourced hardware to support the development and test phases of the product life-cycle.
  • The F-15K project management specialist must collect, organize, and analyze program data, develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources to help define and communicate execution of the various F-15K upgrade projects.
  • Initiates process improvements that are enabled and supported by technology - explores the best way to manage the program by bringing in the best metrics, external concepts, etc.
  • It is integral that one holds the ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all stakeholders and activities within the scope of responsibility. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of teams and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives
  • 3+ years of experience in program, project management, or equivalent
  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading or managing program performance utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) and Risk Issue and Opportunity (RIO) management
  • Experience on international programs and / or the F-15 program
  • Experience with avionics systems integration
  • Experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
  • Experience in the Enterprise Standard Gated Process
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.

Travel: Position may require travel up to 15% of the time.
