Job description


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project manager with strong customer account management experience to join our team. The successful candidate will lead and manage various aspects of the customer experience for ongoing projects related to the design, manufacturing, and delivery of compressors used in power generation and other industrial applications. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing customer expectations and ensuring smooth communication between the customer and our execution and manufacturing teams in Korea to ensure on time delivery and commissioning of the compressor equipment within budget, and according to customer specifications and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of compressor manufacturing projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.ย 
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of key milestones.ย 
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure that projects are completed within financial constraints.ย 
  • Work closely with the Korea and US engineering, production, quality control, and procurement teams to ensure the seamless integration of compressor designs and manufacturing processes.ย 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication of project requirements and scope and addressing any project concerns.ย 
  • Ensure all compressor products meet the necessary quality standards and compliance requirements.ย 
  • Identify potential risks to the project timeline, budget, or quality and develop strategies to mitigate them.ย 
  • Continuously assess and improve project management processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality output.ย 
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to senior management and clients, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of project status. Maintain an understanding of a specific customer's business, work process, organization and standards.

  • Requirements / Experience

  • Korean language skills are strongly preferred.ย 
  • 2+ yearsโ€™ experience in Account Management, Project Management, Applications Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in the compressor manufacturing industry, with a general understanding of compressor design, installation, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.ย 
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.ย 
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and maintain accurate records.ย 
  • Knowledge in aspects of rotating machinery and/or oil and gas facility operations
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, multi-faceted working environment and new businessesย 
  • Office based role in Houston, Texas

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
