Safety Manager

Location: Burlington, KY, 41005

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team in Burlington, KY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive safety programs and initiatives to ensure a safe working environment across all operations, including plant safety and delivery/install site safety. This role requires a strong understanding of OSHA requirements, EPA regulations, and best management practices related to air and stormwater.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement safety programs and initiatives tailored to company operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and manage all related reporting.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientations and ongoing training sessions for employees.
  • Develop and manage a near-miss reporting program to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Perform workers' compensation safety audits and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee plant safety protocols and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Manage safety procedures for delivery and installation sites to minimize hazards.
  • Foster and develop a safety-focused culture throughout the organization.
  • Prepare and submit EPA reports and implement best management practices for air quality and stormwater management.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in safety management, preferably in underground utility systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Experience with EPA reporting and environmental best management practices.
  • Strong skills in designing and delivering safety training programs.
  • Ability to conduct safety audits and implement corrective measures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
