Koenigsegg continues to grow, and we are now looking for a Project Purchaser to join our team.

The Role

This position plays an integral role in linking the development activities of Engineering with the Purchasing organization, making sure the sourcing plan is optimized to and well planned, for new projects to ensure the Sourcing process and supplier activities are executed in line with project requirements. The role ensures that prototype, production parts, and tools are ordered in time to meet the build trials. The Role includes working closely with Suppliers, Engineering, Program managers, Quality, and Strategic purchasers to ensure project deliverables.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Project Purchaser will be part of the Category team and responsible for securing material, cost compression, and supplier selection for approved suppliers during the development phase of the car program. The purpose is to have a short to midterm view on supplier selection as well secure the current and future supply to support Koenigsegg’ development phase.

  • Ensure the orders for Design Verification sample parts, prototype parts and production parts to the right cost quality and time.
  • Capture/Understand potential risks (quality, financial, property, geopolitical, etc.) along the whole Supply Chain cycle and prepare contingency plans during development.
  • Measure and manage the supplier and contract performance in all aspects including supplier’s compliance to Koenigsegg requirements.
  • Support commercial relationships (incl. contract terms & conditions and annual negotiations) when needed.
  • Support Category managers in verify completion of tasks.
  • Support and drive supplier entry & supplier exit/switch process.

For this position, we are looking for someone with passion for business, results, and hands-on execution.

We believe you are an open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve, working independently on multiple tasks or projects simultaneously. Having the ability to deal with urgent requests to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively is essential. In addition, a background in engineering will be of great benefit.

  • Master or bachelor's degree in engineering and business or other relevant education
  • Documented competence within purchasing, production economy and conduct fundamental cost calculations.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management capabilities, Experience from working in product development projects is a plus
  • Experience from Automotive industry is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel, MS Project, Power Point, Word, ERP systems (Monitor or equivalent)
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills in English, suitable for both large groups and senior management.
