Job description

Job Duties

  • Responsible for personnel, operational support, training, supply systems and support services necessary for specific site contract.
  • Provides for sufficient and viable contract performance through effective leadership of the site, to include compliance with quality and safety/environmental standards.
  • Meets or exceeds all performance requirements. Effectively manages employee issues that may arise. Communicates new requirements, concerns, and issues to the PM for resolution.
  • Provides for the welfare of the personnel and the enhancement of the contract, to include optimizing the balance between resources of manpower, equipment, time, and materials across multiple locations supporting the contract.
  • Responsible for keeping the Company, Corporate Management, and Customer Government personnel apprised on current status of operations and maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively at senior management levels. Strong leadership skills with ability to manage a large and diverse workforce. Skilled in operations, logistics, and resource management.
  • Ability to respond rapidly and sufficiently to changing requirements, unexpected contingencies and other challenging situations. Ability to manage available resources in time sensitive situations.
  • Must be able to qualify for a SECRET security clearance and a Background Investigation.
  • Additional knowledge may be required by contract or assignment
  • Oversees Contractor personnel program/project operations by developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance and administrative support effort and monitoring and reporting progress
  • Responsible for recruitment of new hires and termination of employees either for cause or routine release
  • Screens all employee candidates to ensure adequate qualifications are met before offers are extended

    Capabilities/Skills

    • Capability of establishing liaison and coordinating with associated Navy activities.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of high-performance aircraft maintenance and supply, including jet engines, airframes, installed systems, production control, maintenance data collection, and Navy technical directive compliance.
    • The site manager shall be capable of establishing liaison and coordinating with associated Navy and other activities.
    • Knowledgeable of technical directives and CNAFINST 4790.2 (series).
    • Knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures.
    • Possess working knowledge of applicable aircraft.
    • Shall have a valid driver's license.

    Education & Qualifications

    *Candidates must have been released from military service with an Honorable Discharge to meet minimum qualifications.

    • BA/BS from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines: engineering, business, logistics, management, math, sciences, and professional aeronautics with 14 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements.
      • Substitution: Within the 14 years, at least three years of management experience shall be in technical program/project work related to U.S. Naval aircraft maintenance.
      • Substitution: High school graduate or equivalent with 20 plus years in the performance and execution of U.S. Navy requirements.
      • Experience in establishing policy and procedures, training, and safety programs.
      • Experience managing operating budgets and fund expenditures for supplies and/or equipment; in flight operation plans, programs, and evaluation of maintenance and supply capability to support such programs.
      • Experience in aircraft maintenance plans, procedures, and policies with collective experience in monitoring and directing maintenance and supply activities.
      • Possess an extensive background in the field of aircraft maintenance and material support with a minimum of 15 years of experience with 10 years of the last 15 years in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification.

    Pay Range - $130,000 - $140,000
