Operations ManagerHRforGrowth® is engaged as the talent acquisition partner to conduct this search on behalf of a client organization that is hiring for this role. Role Summary
To manage all facility operations to ensure company objectives are achieved. Develop, oversee, direct, and have financial accountability for the work activities of plant personnel, including Receiving/Stocking, Production, Shipping, and Inventory Control for assigned clients.
MAJOR AREAS OF PERFORMANCE:
  • Ensure cost-efficient use of resources and on-going process improvement including planning, scheduling, and evaluation
  • Perform management functions and provide coaching and direction to plant Supervisors and staff
  • Participate in the budgeting process and implement cost-control measures
  • Responsible for labor planning and scheduling
  • Direct workflow to meet plant productivity, turn-time, quality, and safety standards
  • Project management for new client integrations
  • Leads plant in continuous improvement Ensure proper training of all plant staff
  • Work directly with the Inventory Control Manager to ensure proper control of all client and company inventory
  • Partner with Client Services to develop relationships and ensure service and company objectives are achieved
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and analysis for the Archway management team
  • Partner with Industrial Engineer to develop costing models, workflow and scheduling analysis, and process improvements
  • Ensuring ISO processes are up to date and continuous improvement of processes is taking place
  • Compliance with MNOSHA and OSHA standards and participation in the safety committee
  • All other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma required; Four-year degree preferre
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant operations, warehouse, distribution, or pick/pack and ship experience required
  • Minimum 4 years of manufacturing/warehouse supervision
  • Evidence of previous significant supervisory and leadership expertise with a track record of initiative, coaching, performance management, and process improvement
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) required
  • Demonstrable verbal and written communication skills in both interpersonal and team settings
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to evaluate and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to make decisions and excel in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment
  • History of successful innovation including development, proposal, and implementation of ideas to improve overall facility operations 
  • Demonstrated a history of effective cross-departmental partnership to achieve common goals for the company and clients
  • Experience managing capacity in a high-paced and high-turn environment
