The Gillette sales center services five counties, with operations based in Campbell County and coverage extending into Sheridan, Johnson, Crook, and Weston Counties, including the communities of Gillette, Sheridan, Buffalo, Sundance, and Newcastle.Job Description

Primary Location:

Gillette, Wyoming

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for development, implementation and achievement of annual sales, margin and expense P&L's, and strategic plans, including the development, execution and organization of the pricing of promotional strategies.


Maximize sale of all products by implementing established sales and marketing program to achieve or exceed company objectives.


Ensures full line distribution of all products both on and off premise in accordance with company and supplier objectives.


Analyzes department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget. Directs the operation of assigned sales department personnel and spending within established budgets through effective communication and supervision to meet the company's financial plan.

Responsible for effective sales efforts for assigned area through supervision, training and evaluating personnel. Conducts sales reviews and market reviews with accounts and customers.


Ensures quality of product, service and customer rapport through supervision of personnel and personal auditing in the trade to increase market distribution and sales.


Communicates effectively with assigned personnel and co-workers to keep updated on competitive activity and market execution.


Ensures maximum product exposure throughout the marketing area with highly visible merchandising, POS, and displays through direction and guidance of assigned management personnel to increase market share and profitability.


Responsible for proper warehousing of all products within company quality control standards through management of warehouse operations to maintain quality of products and compliance with all company and Food Safety standards.
Accountable for compliance with all federal, state and local laws regarding transportation and safety.


Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percent- ages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
