Job description

Ready to lead the journey from raw spirit to finished product?

Do you thrive in complex manufacturing environments? Are you energized by coaching teams, nailing schedules, and raising the bar on safety and compliance? At Buffalo Trace Distillery—family-owned since 1773 in Frankfort, Franklin County, Kentucky, and part of the Sazerac family—you’ll help carry forward a legacy recognized by 300+ awards, 17 distillery titles from premier industry publications, and a 2015 Icons of Whisky America “Brand Innovator of the Year” honor. We produce bourbon, rye, and vodka at a National Historic Landmark with a passion for excellence.

What you’ll tackle
  • Lead safe operations every shift by upholding DOT/Hazmat, confined space, and TTB requirements—aiming for zero recordables.
  • Direct end-to-end processing: bulk alcohol receiving, manual batching, automated blending, RO water systems, and filtration to keep Bottling on schedule.
  • Continuously improve key results: Juice Loss %, WGs/Labor $, OT utilization, and Department OHV.
  • Build a high-performing team through coaching, fair accountability, investigations when needed, and engaging safety kickoffs.
  • Maintain impeccable compliance: complete TTB documentation (122s, 137s, calibrations, system transactions) and support audits without interruption.
What makes you a match
  • Required: 3+ years in processing within a fast-paced manufacturing or production setting; track record leading people; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel; broad knowledge of processing and receiving operations.
  • Preferred: Experience with ERP/MRP/WMS systems; background in the alcohol beverage industry; familiarity with beverage processing equipment; union environment experience; understanding of inventory control and budgeting processes.

This role operates on third shift.
