• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews and case documentation, to assess the needs of clients from the initial assessment through the end of treatment.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that they align with best practices in psychotherapy.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to promote client engagement and progress.
• Regularly monitor and document the progress of clients throughout their treatment plans, making necessary adjustments to interventions when needed.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
• Provide follow-up support and engage with psychiatrists for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
• Proactively identify potential barriers to client recovery and develop strategies to address these challenges.
• Support family members and primary caregivers of clients in navigating mental health challenges, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at New Beginnings, you will primarily work with a diverse client base, addressing a range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral challenges. Our clients vary in age and socio-economic background, reflecting the community-centric focus of our clinic. Your role will involve tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet the individual needs of clients, ensuring they receive the most effective care possible.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proficiency and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to establish rapport with clients and their families.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to empathize with clients facing mental health challenges.

• A minimum of two years of direct experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of various therapeutic approaches.
• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions and addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their potential impacts on mental health, as prescribed by other healthcare providers.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, with opportunities for a sign-on bonus.
