All About Us

The Inflight Base Manager manages the day-to-day operations for Inflight at the assigned base and leads a team of Inflight Crew Managers and administrative support to ensure Flight Attendant competence and qualification with regards to safety, regulatory, service and communication requirements. The Inflight Base Manager will influence and maintain a positive employee culture at the base consistent with the culture at Endeavor Air.

All About The Role

  • Lead and support Inflight Crew Managers so that they can thrive and influence the base in the areas such as customer satisfaction, on-time performance, safety and completion factor.
  • Develop and support Inflight Crew Managers, and Administration staff, measuring performance by setting goals and objectives to include annual evaluations.
  • Establish and account for Inflight base goals, initiatives, and operational performance metrics in dependability, work performance, attendance, operational goals, on-board service and customer service standards of performance.
  • Ensure Flight Attendants report operational situations and events accurately and timely.
  • Certify the base administers Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Flight Attendant Manual (FAM) compliance.
  • Establish, support and maintain agreements between Union and the Company through effective communication and interaction with union representatives.
  • Provide guidance to Inflight Crew Managers on mentoring, supporting, investigating, and determining outcome of investigations and interviews when violations of company policy or federal regulations occur.
  • Manage the base's SAFA (Special Assignment Flight Attendant) program, educational initiatives, and Inflight programs, policies and procedures.
  • Track and provide feedback to Inflight Crew Managers on the team's performance, service, and uniform standards, ensuring compliance and expectations are met.
  • Audit and track Inflight Crew Managers' statistics for on-board Flight Attendant performance with regulatory compliance and customer service satisfaction during Inflight operations.
  • Conduct and participate in base meetings, departmental staff meetings, and Flight Attendant meetings.
  • Conduct Inflight Crew Managers and administrative staff performance reviews.
  • Responsible for maintaining and tracking all Flight Attendant leaves, per the attendance policy.
  • Incorporate Flight Attendant performance recognition per Company programs for the base.
  • Maintain high level of knowledge and ensure compliance in the areas of Company Policy, FAM, FAA Regulations, and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Responsible for administration of audit, sales deposits and service recovery amenity coupons.
  • Collaborate with the Flight Ops Base Manager to oversee the administration of the random drug and alcohol testing for the base.
  • Maintain the department probationary program at the base.
  • Ensure on-call duty assignments are covered to handle operational events and be available for Flight Attendant emergencies and assistance.
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with the Flight Ops Base Manager to facilitate joint flight operations/inflight initiatives and programs.
  • Attend station hub meetings and support hub operation and leadership team.
  • Ensure Regional Crew Managers maintain Charter flight operations by briefing Flight Attendants regarding on-board service specifications and special requirements.
  • This is a non-flying position involving office work, airport operations, and on aircraft operations in all types of weather. Airport gate and ramp operations are noisy and can be hazardous without due caution.

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience
  • 3 years of experience in Inflight or related field preferred
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • 5 years of supervisory preferred
  • Ability to achieve Flight Attendant qualification and certification upon request
  • Knowledge of FARs and Employee Contract Administration
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Analytical, interpretive and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi task effic
