Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Journeyman Content Specialist to join our team in Doral, FL. Key Responsibilities * Oversee the end-to-end process of content generation-including research, structural composition, editing, security filtering, and compliance verification-prior to publication on secure networks.
* Administer, populate, and optimize standard government Content Management Systems (CMS) and portals (e.g., SharePoint, Intelink) to ensure data is logically organized and easily discoverable.
* Partner directly with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), military operations planners, intelligence analysts, and technical engineers to turn complex concepts into structured documentation.
* Enforce rigorous technical writing guidelines, strict operational security (OPSEC) frameworks, and agency-specific style guides to maintain data consistency.
* Track content usage metrics and platform health, generating analytical reports to continuously refine user experience and data accessibility. Minimum Qualifications * 5 years of professional experience
* 2 years' experience in content management, technical writing, communications, or digital asset coordination.
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, Information Management, or a related field. A Master's degree in a related field is equivalent to 2 years' experience.
* An Associate's degree combined with an additional 2 years of experience may be considered.
* A High School Diploma combined with an additional 4 years of experience may be considered.
* Strong proficiency with government-standard CMS portals (SharePoint), MS Office Suite, and basic knowledge of visual asset formatting (Adobe Creative Suite, HTML basics). Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience working on-site or in support of a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., USSOUTHCOM).
* Familiarity with military terminology, joint operational planning environments, or public affairs guidance.
* Experience implementing Section 508 compliance (accessibility standards for electronic information).
* Certifications in Knowledge Management (e.g., KMI Certified Knowledge Specialist/Manager) or project management fundamentals. Clearance Requirements: * Must have a current/active Secret security clearance. Physical Requirements * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
* Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
