TEAM OVERVIEW
KKR's Investor Relations (IR) team is responsible for managing relationships across several facets of the public market including public shareholders, equity market analysts, and the Board of Directors. The IR team also has the privilege of interacting closely with Firm leadership and assisting in strategic initiatives, including capital raising, M&A and corporate governance efforts. The team utilizes financial modeling and analysis to understand how investors value our public stock, while also playing a critical role in crafting and communicating the Firm's story.
POSITION SUMMARY
KKR is seeking an Associate to join its New York-based Investor Relations team, with a focus on supporting corporate governance efforts including the Board of Directors, shareholder engagement and additional management initiatives. This role will work closely with senior members of the Investor Relations team as well as Firm Management, Legal and the broader business teams to develop high-impact content for the Board of Directors Meetings and support the IR team in shareholder engagement efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical foundation, excellent communication skills (written and PowerPoint) and a strong interest in following the financial markets. Candidates will have 1 - 3 years of work experience with a background in investment banking, capital markets, private funds or other finance-rated roles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage quarterly Board of Directors meeting materials - Project-manage preparation for the quarterly Board of Directors meeting, including outreach to contributing teams across the firm, aggregating and reviewing content, creating various slides for inclusion, and preparing public trading summary slides.
  • Create client-facing presentation materials - Develop materials for shareholder meetings, internal leadership meetings, ad hoc Board of Directors updates / teach-ins and additional internal and external requests. Synthetize publicly available information to tell the KKR story in a clear and concise manner.
  • Research and develop talking points for internal and external use - Research various topics of interest and develop talking points or other reference material for use during client / shareholder meetings, investor conferences, earnings calls, Board meetings and more.
  • Prepare public reporting materials - Assist in the preparation of public company reporting materials including the Proxy Statement, Annual Shareholder Letter and other materials, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a background in investment banking
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, with strong record of academic achievement

  • Exceptional technical and analytical skills including financial modeling and company valuation techniques - ability to communicate findings in high-impact PowerPoint presentations

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to proactively manage projects with keen attention to detail

This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
