Shift: Mon- Fri, 7am- 4pm
Summary/Objective: The role of a (Machine Build Procurement) Sourcing/Kitting specialist is a direct report in the Automation Development Group. This role has expectations to provide all tooling requirements from a specific BOM to the Machine Shop for assembly. The details required to achieve this include determine where to purchase items, enter/manage/expedite PO’s, organize the purchased tools as they arrive to individual machine assembly drawings. This is a key role in supporting the Rise of the Machines initiative, new machine platforms (new products and/or technologies), and machines for capacity expansions.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.
- Receive purchase requests to place PO’s for machine build BOM items.
- Meet with Mechanical & Controls Engineering as needed to make time commitments for placing and receiving machine component PO’s.
- Breaking down machine BOM’s and separating purchase items from machined parts for ordering
- Multi-quoting vendors to get best cost and lead time without compromising quality.
- Provide information to vendor development group for ongoing vendor maintenance.
- Tracking of tooling and purchased parts, proactively following up on PO commit dates and maintaining accurate due dates / reschedule dates in the system and reporting of current status.
- Act as the liaison as needed between the tooling supplier and engineering, quality, and TPG.
- Kitting/staging of items as they arrive from TPG.
- Manage changing priorities as needed to support the machine shop / operations.
- Work with TPG shipping to coordinate shipment of consigned parts for outsourced machine builds.
- Manage and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
- Other tasks as needed to successfully support internal and external customers.

Required/Preferred Experience:
1. Print reading skills a plus, Solidworks or other CAD software knowledge a plus.
2. Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
3. Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
4. Excellent organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and people skills.
5. Must be detail oriented and a strong sense of urgency to meet lead time targets.
6. Motivated, Self-Starter capable of taking next steps and understanding priorities.
7. Strong math skills and strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
8. Strong computer skills – Outlook, Excel, Word, PCMAN/Inventory Suite, WorkDay, Clarizen (PTS).
9. Machine Shop or other purchasing experience helpful.
10. Knowledge of Manufacturing Methods and Machine Assembly is a plus.
11. Forklift Certification preferred.
Preferred Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
