Job description

Overview

We are seeking experienced Line Cooks to help grow an exciting restaurant expand its catering offering. bridging the gap between quick service and fine dining.

Quality Greens Kitchen is a fast-casual, QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) inspired by the farm-to-table movement, bridging the gap between fine dining and fast food.

We are located in downtown Brooklyn, blocks from the Jay St-Metro train station, near Barclays.

Candidates MUST have several years of restaurant experience, including bulk veggie prep, scratch cooking, sauces and dressings, and high-volume output.

Candidates MUST be available to work weekdays from 7 AM through lunch. (Flexible scheduling beyond this availability is a plus).

NY Foodhandler's Card is a plus.

This position is for our Brooklyn location, but possible flexing across two locations may be an option for some candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and portion ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality. Follow recipes and guidelines to create consistent, delicious dishes.
  • Cooking: Safely and efficiently cook menu items, including grilling, sautéing, and baking, while maintaining the highest food safety standards.
  • Assembly: Assemble salads, bowls, wraps, and other menu items with precision and attention to presentation.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment, utensils, and prep areas. Adhere to all sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members, including chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house employees, to ensure smooth service and timely order fulfillment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels and notifying management when supplies need replenishing.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a supervisor in a fast-paced kitchen environment is required.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
