Job description

Talent Recruiter & Sales Trainer – In-Home Kitchen Sales

BUILD THE TEAM. DEVELOP THE TALENT. DRIVE THE GROWTH.

My Home Project Center is looking for an energetic, driven Talent Recruiter & Sales Trainer to help us build and develop a high-performing team of In-Home Kitchen Sales Designers.

This is not a traditional desk-based recruiting position.

We're looking for someone who understands people, sales, motivation, and performance—someone who can identify great sales talent, recruit them to our organization, and help turn new hires into confident, successful in-home sales professionals.

If you love finding talented people, interviewing them, coaching them, and watching them succeed, this opportunity is for you.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our business is growing, and our growth depends on finding the right people.

As our Talent Recruiter & Sales Trainer, you'll own a critical part of our sales organization:

Find great people → Recruit great people → Train great people → Develop great salespeople.

You'll work closely with company leadership to continuously build our sales team while creating a structured training and development process for new and existing sales professionals.

This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on the growth of the company and the careers of the people you recruit.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

RECRUIT TOP SALES TALENT

  • Develop creative strategies for finding qualified sales candidates
  • Source candidates through ZipRecruiter, Indeed, LinkedIn, social media, networking, referrals, and other channels
  • Write and optimize job postings designed to attract high-quality sales professionals
  • Screen applicants and conduct initial interviews
  • Identify candidates with the personality, drive, communication skills, and work ethic necessary to succeed in in-home sales
  • Conduct phone and video interviews and coordinate the hiring process
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential sales candidates
  • Maintain relationships with candidates throughout the recruiting process
  • Partner with leadership to continually improve recruiting strategies

TRAIN & DEVELOP NEW SALESPEOPLE

Once you find the right people, your job doesn't stop.

You'll help develop new hires through a structured onboarding and sales training program.

Training will include:

  • Company culture and expectations
  • Product and kitchen remodeling knowledge
  • The in-home sales process
  • Customer examination and discovery
  • Building rapport and trust with homeowners
  • Active listening and communication
  • Presenting kitchen refacing solutions
  • Handling customer objections
  • Pricing and presenting investment options
  • Asking for the sale
  • Follow-up and closing strategies
  • Professional behavior in the customer's home
  • CRM and sales process expectations

You'll help new salespeople understand not only what to say, but why it works.

COACHING & PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT

The best sales organizations don't simply hire people—they develop people.

You'll work with sales representatives to:

  • Role-play sales presentations
  • Review sales calls and appointments
  • Identify strengths and areas for improvement
  • Coach objection handling
  • Improve presentation skills
  • Reinforce the company's sales process
  • Help new representatives build confidence
  • Track progress and identify training opportunities
  • Conduct ongoing sales training and development
  • Help underperforming salespeople develop an improvement plan

Your goal is simple:

Help good salespeople become great salespeople.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly energetic and positive
  • A strong communicator
  • Naturally persuasive and influential
  • Comfortable interviewing and evaluating people
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups
  • Passionate about coaching and developing others
  • Organized and results-oriented
  • Competitive—but team-oriented
  • Comfortable holding people accountable
  • Able to recognize potential beyond what's written on a résumé
  • Confident enough to give direct, constructive feedback
  • Motivated by seeing other people succeed

You should genuinely enjoy talking to people, asking questions, listening, identifying potential, and developing talent.

IDEAL BACKGROUND

The ideal candidate may have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Sales recruiting
  • Recruiting or talent acquisition
  • Sales management
  • Sales training
  • Business development
  • In-home sales
  • Home improvement sales
  • Remodeling or construction sales
  • Real estate sales
  • Automotive sales
  • Recruiting high-volume sales teams
  • Coaching or performance development

Experience in kitchen remodeling, cabinet refacing, home improvement, or residential sales is a strong plus—but not required.

What matters most is your ability to identify sales talent and develop people.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In this role, success isn't simply measured by the number of people you interview.

We want you to build a productive sales organization.

You'll be successful when you consistently:

Recruit → Hire → Train → Coach → Develop → Retain

high-quality sales professionals who produce results.

You'll have the opportunity to help create the systems and culture that allow our sales organization to scale.

WHY JOIN MY HOME PROJECT CENTER?

BE PART OF A GROWING ORGANIZATION

You'll have the opportunity to play a meaningful role in building our sales organization.

MAKE AN IMPACT

The people you recruit and train can become some of the company's top performers.

BUILD YOUR OWN SKILLS

As the organization grows, so can your role.

THE PERSON WE WANT

We're not looking for someone who simply wants to fill positions.

We're looking for someone who wants to build a sales team.

If you can look at a candidate and recognize potential...

If you know how to get great people excited about an opportunity...
