Job description

The Kitchen Prep is to produce the highest quality food with precision and accuracy, continually observing and implementing the proper quality-assurance and food-safety procedures. To include daily prep, preparing ingredients, keeping kitchen clean and orderly.



Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, deliver  items weighing up to 20-40 pounds throughout an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to safely utilize knives and equipment.
  • Ability to stand and walk continually throughout an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach for products and items
  • Ability to work to various temperature environment, for example low temperature in the refrigerator and high temperature in the cooking area  
  • Ability to work in loud areas, for example, the music for special performance and/or loud noise from the dishwasher machine
  • Ability to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours


Education & Qualifications:

  • California Food Handler Certificate 
  • Cooking and Prep experience or Back of the House experience preferred
  • Fluent in English / Preferred languages: Mandarin and Spanish


Responsibilities:


  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Plates food in an attractive manner to maximize customer enjoyment
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Quickly complete opening and closing duties each shift - setting up and tearing down the line to ensure you, your peers and your' location are set for success.
  • Follow all policies and processes communicated by your Manager or the Company.
  • Strictly adhere to all Company and government health and safety standards with a focus on Human Safety; Food Safety and Chemical Safety and Sanitation Standards
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
