What you'll do as a Prep Cook:

  • Prepare ingredients according to recipes and production sheets, including chopping, slicing, measuring, and portioning.
  • Assist in the preparation of menu items and daily specials under the direction of the Chef or Lead Cook.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in quality and presentation.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate shortages or needs to kitchen leadership.
  • Label, date, and store all food items properly to ensure freshness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, storage, and equipment throughout the shift.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries while verifying accuracy and quality.
