As S. W. Collins Company continues to grow, we are looking to expand our kitchen and bath design team. We are seeking a talented, motivated designer with prior experience to join our team at our Home Design Center.
Job Description:
Designers have the opportunity to build relationships and connect with people daily. They put their creative talents to use matching colors, finishes, styles, and trends to make customers’ dreams become reality. Our design team is involved with new construction and renovation projects from start to finish. With projects across our local communities, designers can be found on the job site, in our showroom and virtually to meet the needs of our customers. Key skills include but aren't limited to project management, attention to detail, time management, and relationship management. Product knowledge is key to the success of our team and numerous training opportunities are provided throughout the year by S. W. Collins and our vendor network, as well as the National Kitchen and Bath Association. This is a challenging and rewarding position where every day and project is different than the one before.
Candidate Requirements:
· Relevant experience preferred but not required
· 2020 (or similar) software proficiency preferred
· Solid communication skills (oral and written)
· Background in interior design and/or drafting preferred
· Strong customer relationship skills and the ability to build rapport with prospective and existing customers
