Job description

Dietary Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and certified Dietary Manager to join our skilled nursing facility team. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality nutritional care and meal services to our residents while complying with state and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and manage the dietary department to meet the nutritional needs of residents.
  • Supervise dietary staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure meals are prepared according to residents' dietary requirements, preferences, and care plans.
  • Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to address residents' nutritional needs and implement dietary changes as needed.
  • Develop and monitor the dietary department budget and maintain cost controls.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and storing food and supplies.
  • Conduct routine audits of meal preparation, service, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or similar certification is required.
  • Previous experience in a dietary or food service management role, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and dietary regulations in healthcare.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Compassionate and service-oriented mindset.
