Position Summary


The Commercial Kitchen Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business, managing existing client relationships, and providing consultative sales solutions for commercial kitchen equipment and related services. This role requires regular fieldwork, customer visits, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver customized solutions that meet client needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a defined sales territory, generating new business and expanding existing accounts
  • Build strong relationships with restaurant owners, chefs, contractors, designers, facility managers, and purchasing decision-makers
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate commercial kitchen equipment and solutions
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and product demonstrations
  • Collaborate with design, project management, and service teams to ensure accurate solutions and successful project execution
  • Maintain a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking, and follow-up activities
  • Track sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts using CRM software
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, and competitor offerings
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and training sessions as required
Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of outside B2B sales experience (commercial kitchen, foodservice equipment, construction, or related industries preferred)
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to prospect, close deals, and manage long sales cycles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, or similar tools
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC, plumbing, or construction-related products
  • Knowledge of restaurant, hospitality, healthcare, or institutional foodservice operations
  • Existing industry contacts within the assigned territory
