Our Heart of House Lead plays a key role in delivering the Spinato’s Experience by ensuring food quality, supporting the kitchen team, and maintaining high standards in every dish that leaves the kitchen.

The Heart of House Lead is a hands-on leader who sets the tone during each shift in the kitchen. This role supports the Manager on Duty by guiding the HOH team, reinforcing expectations, and ensuring smooth, efficient kitchen operations. If you lead by example, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about food quality and team development, this is a great opportunity to grow your leadership skills at Spinato’s.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to consistently deliver high-quality food that meets Spinato’s standards.
  • Support the Manager on Duty with kitchen operations and shift execution.
  • Assist with coordinating HOH positions including prep, pizza line, sauté, and expo.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to recipes and standards.
  • Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  • Help train, coach, and support HOH team members during shifts.
  • Monitor ticket times and ensure efficient kitchen flow during high-volume periods
  • Step in to assist with food preparation and line support during peak times.
  • Communicate effectively with FOH to ensure accurate and timely order execution.
  • Reinforce Spinato’s policies, procedures, and food safety standards.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-focused kitchen environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous kitchen or culinary leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to stay calm, organized, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and support a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Current Food Handler Certification (required).
