Job description

Avista Senior Living Casa Grande, is currently seeking to hire an utility worker to help as a dishwasher and assist our kitchen staff to provide the residents of the community a top notch dining experience. This position is part time Saturday and Sunday and Fridays as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of Avista Senior Living of Casa Grande
  • Disposes of all food, waste, and trash in accordance with established Health Department regulations
  • Empties and cleans all kitchen garbage barrels
  • Sweeps floors dinning room
  • Mops floors and cleans out mop bucket
  • Cleans all dishes and silverware using the proper method(s)
  • Helps to maintain the clean appearance and safety of the floors at all times
  • Ensures that safety precautions are followed at all times - i.e. always using a wet floor sign when mopping floors
  • Cleans dish area at the end of every shift
  • Checks and cleans floor drains
  • Reports all safety incidents and accidents and all unsafe and unsanitary conditions to supervisor immediately
  • Develops and maintains a good working rapport with department personnel, as well as other departments within the community
  • servers and busing tables
  • Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent patient care information to ensure patient rights are protected
  • Assists with maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times
  • Carries out garbage and keeps work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous equipment, supplies etc
  • Sets up meal trays for room service and delivers
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary
