Description
The Cleary Company, an award-winning design-build remodeling firm in Columbus, is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Design Consultant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys guiding clients through material selections while ensuring every detail is organized, on budget, and ready for production.
Key Responsibilities
Client Selections
  • Meet with clients to select:
  • Plumbing fixtures
  • Bath & kitchen accessories
  • Electric fixtures
  • Appliances
  • Countertops and shower components
  • Tile (flooring, showers, backsplashes, grout)
  • Flooring
  • Cabinet door styles & finishes
  • Paint colors
  • Assist Designers with additional selections as needed
  • Create and maintain detailed Selection Sheets

Budgeting & Procurement
  • Price selections and manage allowances
  • Obtain bids and perform material take-offs

Production Coordination
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Production Team
  • Attend key meetings (Design Presentations, Pre-Construction)
  • Visit job sites to confirm proper installation and client satisfaction

Showroom & Vendor Support
  • Maintain samples and materials in showroom
  • Build relationships with vendors and stay current on product trends
