Park Hyatt Toronto is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Server Assistant to join the team at Joni Restaurant. This role plays a key part in supporting the service team and ensuring a seamless and exceptional dining experience for our guests.

The Server Assistant is responsible for maintaining clean, well-organized dining areas, assisting servers with food and beverage service, and ensuring tables are properly prepared for arriving guests. The ideal candidate is highly organized, attentive, and thrives in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment.

Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for providing outstanding guest service.

Some of the responsibilities include:

         Welcome guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and provide menus

         Assist with serving water, beverages, and complimentary offerings

         Wrap utensils and prepare table settings according to restaurant standards

         Clear and reset tables promptly, removing plates, utensils, and glassware

         Transport used tableware to the kitchen area efficiently and safely

         Prepare tables for arriving guests by wiping spills, clearing crumbs, replacing linen, and resetting tableware

         Assist servers by delivering food to tables when required

         Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate any concerns or feedback to management

         Arrange tables and seating to accommodate larger parties or special requests

         Ensure server stations are fully stocked with necessary supplies throughout service

         Support opening and closing duties, including end-of-day cleaning and sanitizing of restaurant menus and service areas

         Service-focused personality with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction

         Previous experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality service preferred

         Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality environment preferred

         Current Smart Serve certification required

         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

         Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and quality-driven

         Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment

         Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

         Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

         Constant walking and standing during shifts

         Frequent lifting, crouching, bending, stooping, and kneeling
