Kitchen Equipment Technician
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Kitchen Equipment Technician.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all kitchen appliances and related equipment are functioning efficiently and safely to support the food and beverage operations.
As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll provide a exceptional service, collaboration, and technical expertise while ensuring commercial kitchen equipment remains safe, functional, and operating efficiently.
This is an hourly wage role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance on all kitchen equipment. Identify potential issues before they cause equipment failure.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in commercial kitchen appliances such as ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, steamers, and mixers. Replace worn or defective parts
  • Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure kitchen operations continue smoothly.
  • Assist in the installation and proper setup of new kitchen appliances and equipment. Ensure all new equipment meets safety and performance standards.
  • Ensure all equipment meets local health and safety codes. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs for compliance audits.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and kitchen gas appliances.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
  • Familiarity with refrigeration systems (a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience repairing commercial kitchen equipment.
