Job description

Outpatient Endocrinology Opening in Kingston, NY (90 minutes from New York City) 
Northern Dutchess Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health, is seeking a full-time outpatient Endocrinologist to join our established and busy employed practice in Kingston, NY with an APRN. Generous sign on bonus may be available.
The APRN sees patients independently and covers for the physician.  This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a colleague located approximately 25 miles away in a neighboring practice, fostering a strong network of clinical support and continuity of care across the region. There is potential for an academic appointment or teaching of students or medical trainees. Support services include Community Educators in the Kingston area, Northwell and Nuvance Radiology services and metabolic practices.
The ideal candidate will be board certified in Internal or Family Medicine and board certified/eligible in Endocrinology and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team with some teaching responsibility to residents and medical students. The position is completely outpatient.  This position will have no call responsibilities.  This is an adult only, Monday-Friday practice. There will also be opportunity to expand coverage to other area office locations as we continue to grow the practice to meet the needs of our large primary care referral base. There may be flexibility to work a few days of the week in Kingston and a few days in Poughkeepsie if mutually agreeable.
This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Competitive total compensation package including base salary, incentive pay, paid time off, CME time off and allowance, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401k match. Sign on bonus, relocation allowance and retention bonus offered. 
Job Requirements:
  • MD or DO with NY State and Federal Narcotic Use Registration. 
  • Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency and be Board Certified in either and have completed a full Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and be Board Certified or Board Eligible.  
  • Preferred: Prior experience as an Endocrinologist but new graduates are welcome to apply.
