We are looking for a Staff Automation Engineer that will have a huge impact on the Business Systems, Security, Production Engineering and IT functions. This role is for a seasoned engineer who thrives on solving complex operational challenges, enhancing system security and stability, and improving efficiency through automation and best practices using AI technologies.

Your day-to-day:
  • Implement Agentic AI and LLM-powered workflows using tools like Tines, AWS Agentcore, AWS Bedrock, Claude Code, etc.ย 
  • Deploy systems with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (i.e. Terraform)
  • Build and maintain automation workflows across key enterprise platforms (i.e. Atlassian, Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, knowledge management systems), cybersecurity systems (i.e. SIEM, GRC platforms, Data Security Platforms, etc.), and cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
  • Build AI-driven chatbots or intelligent agents that automate tasks, support conversational workflows, and integrate with enterprise applications.
  • Partner with IT, Security, GRC, Procurement, and business teams to automate operational tasks and processes to reduce toil, improve efficiency and enable business.
  • Develop integrations using REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and scripting languages (JavaScript, Python).
  • Follow established automation and AI standards for quality, security, and governance; provide improvements where appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize existing workflows to improve stability and performance.
  • Document designs, workflows, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team-based learning to uplift engineering quality and consistency.
  • Work with various tooling in Security, IT, and Production Engineering
What youโ€™ll bring to the team:
  • 10+ years of experience in automation engineering, systems integration, or workflow development.
  • Experience with automation platforms such as Tines, Retool, Superblocks, n8n, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and containerization technologies
  • Experience developing LLM-powered automations, conversational interfaces, or Agentic AI assistants.
  • Knowledge of Git and modern version control practices
  • Strong skills in REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, JavaScript, and Python.
  • Familiarity with identity systems (Okta, SCIM) and RBAC concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Ability to break down problems, collaborate cross-functionally, and deliver solutions with moderate guidance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate functional requirements into technical outputs.
Preferred experience:
  • Familiarity with data platform and database technologies (e.g., Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Have experiences with various tooling and AI technologies for business systems, IT, Security and Production Engineering

Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations across departments and geographies to ensure we are keeping our pay current and competitive.
