In this role, children showcase clothing, toys, and other products aimed at young audiences. Parents or guardians play a crucial role in managing schedules, contracts, and ensuring a positive modeling experience for their child.

What are the qualifications for a kids modeling job?

The qualifications for a kids modeling job depend on the type of work. For child models, the only universal prerequisite is to be a kid. Other important characteristics may include having a unique look, being outgoing, and having the patience for the work. If you are working on the adult end of the industry, you need to have experience in the entertainment or fashion industry. You also need some educational qualifications, especially if you are an agent. Studying law, finance, marketing, or business is useful for work in the industry. Important qualities include strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills for handling parents and their kids.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a kids model, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Kids Model, children should possess a photogenic appearance, the ability to follow directions, and a positive attitude, typically supported by parental guidance and industry representation. Familiarity with basic posing techniques, audition processes, and the use of modeling portfolios is common in this field. Patience, confidence, and adaptability are important soft skills that help young models navigate various environments and interact with diverse professionals. These skills and qualities are essential for making a strong impression during castings and ensuring a successful modeling career.

What are some common challenges kids and their families face in the kids modeling industry, and how can they prepare for them?

One common challenge in kids modeling is balancing school commitments with auditions and photoshoots, which often occur during weekdays. Families also need to carefully evaluate agencies and opportunities to avoid scams and ensure the child's safety and well-being. Building a supportive routine, maintaining open communication with agencies, and setting realistic expectations about the frequency of work can help manage these challenges. Additionally, kids may face rejection or long waiting periods between jobs, so fostering resilience and a positive attitude is essential.

About Bluebird Kids Health
Bluebird Kids Health is a dynamic organization that provides underserved communities with new access to value-based pediatric primary care. We are on a mission to provide exceptional care, so every child can thrive. We offer comprehensive, evidence-based primary and urgent care services to children and their families, with support around-the-clock. Our care model includes robust care coordination, chronic disease management, and other population health supports. Our success is measured by exceptional health outcomes, lower medical costs, an outstanding child and family experience, and a rewarding environment for our clinicians and team.
Position Description
Bluebird Kids Health is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Growth Coordinator to drive new patient acquisition through community partnerships, events, and expecting family engagement in Jacksonville. Reporting to our Events Manager, this role owns the full lifecycle of community-generated leads, from first interaction through enrollment, helping more families access exceptional pediatric care.
You will represent Bluebird Kids Health through the community, building relationships with schools, OBGYNs, community organizations, and families. You will own Bluebird Kids' Expecting Parent Meet & Greets and other Bluebird Kids hosted programing from end to end - including driving registrations, hosting events, engaging attendees, and executing follow-up to maximize new patient conversion. Success in this role is measured by the number of families engaged, nurtured, and who join the practice. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment; is confident, engaging with families in person and follows up effectively by phone, text, and email. This person should be highly organized and motivated by achieving measurable growth goals.
What You'll Do
  • Contribute innovative ideas to strengthen community partnerships, improve the patient acquisition process, and expand Bluebird Kids Health's reach
  • Own new patient acquisition through community partnerships, events, and outreach, meeting or exceeding monthly growth goals
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with OBGYNs, hospitals, schools, daycares, faith-based organizations, and other community partners to generate qualified referrals
  • Own Bluebird Kids Health's Expecting Parent Meet & Greets from end to end, including driving registrations, coordinating logistics, hosting events, and executing follow-up to maximize attendance and conversion
  • Serve as the primary owner of community-generated leads by qualifying prospects, maintaining accurate CRM records, and executing timely follow-up to convert families into patients
  • Represent Bluebird Kids Health at high-impact community events, baby showers, school events, and other outreach opportunities, prioritizing quality engagement and lead generation

*Other Duties as Assigned
What You'll Need
  • A passion for helping more young people gain access to exceptional pediatric care
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales, customer engagement, account management, patient engagement, or similar relationship-driven role with demonstrated success achieving measurable goals
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build trust and engage stakeholders in person and over the phone
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate CRM data, and consistently execute follow-up
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a track record of taking ownership and driving outcomes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience in healthcare, maternal/child health, pediatrics, or social services, and familiarity with Jacksonville communities strongly preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred
  • Flexibility to travel throughout Jacksonville and access to reliable transportation
  • Availability for some evening events and 2-4 weekend events / month

What We Offer
  1. The opportunity to support best-in-class community outreach activities within a mission-driven pediatric care delivery organization.
  2. A competitive compensation package with performance incentives and, for some roles, equity participation.
  3. A collaborative and dynamic workplace with significant professional growth opportunities.
  4. A diverse and inclusive company culture that values every team member's contribution to our mission.
  5. Competitive medical, vision, and dental insurance products.
  6. Other programs include employee assistance, caregiver support, commuter benefits, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, short- and long-term disability benefits, and other exclusive employee benefits.
  7. Generous paid time off.

Therefore, even if you do not meet every listed requirement or have gained your qualifications in unconventional ways, we wholeheartedly encourage you to apply. We value passion, potential, and the drive to learn just as highly as formal qualifications, and we are committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone's contributions are valued.
