One common challenge in kids modeling is balancing school commitments with auditions and photoshoots, which often occur during weekdays. Families also need to carefully evaluate agencies and opportunities to avoid scams and ensure the child's safety and well-being. Job description

Meadowbrook Church is seeking a passionate and dynamic kids pastor to lead and grow our kids ministry as we help people move from where they are to where God wants them to be. This leader will have a heart for children and families, a love for the local church, and a calling to raise the next generation to know and follow Jesus.

The ideal candidate is an active, dedicated Christian who brings both experience and a shepherd's heart to ministry. This leader is a builder of teams and a developer of leaders-someone who naturally attracts, equips, and empowers others to use their God-given gifts. They are self-starters who take initiative, carry vision, and faithfully move the mission forward within their area of influence, all while pursuing excellence in every detail.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thriving, well-led kids ministry that is pro-family, Biblically grounded, and responsive to the needs of today's families
  • Clear vision, strategy, and alignment with the overall Next Gen mission and direction
  • A healthy, unified staff and Dream Team culture-where people are equipped, empowered, and genuinely cared for
  • Engaging, God-honoring environments where kids are safe, known, and growing in their relationship with Jesus
  • Strong partnership with parents as they lead their children spiritually at home
  • Excellent systems and communication that support ministry effectiveness, safety, and organization
  • Well-resourced environments with age-appropriate curriculum, including intentional care through Special Needs and Extended Care ministries
  • Faithful stewardship of ministry resources, operating with excellence and within budget
  • A leader who models Meadowbrook's values, supports the broader church team (including Next Gen and pastoral support roles), and continues to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually

God is doing something special at Meadowbrook, and we're looking for a dynamic kids pastor to help lead the next generation. We would love to hear from you if this position sounds interesting. We are also willing to have a conversation about this position, starting at the director level for an applicant new to church ministry.
