What You Will Do
  • Teach children's classes using The Little Gym curriculum and lesson plans.
  • Lead warm-ups, movement activities, gymnastics stations, games, music activities, and closing routines.
  • Keep children safe by supervising closely, giving clear directions, and using appropriate spotting techniques after training.
  • Help children feel welcomed, encouraged, and confident, including children who are shy, energetic, distracted, nervous, or new to class.
  • Communicate warmly and professionally with parents before and after class.
  • Set up and clean up class equipment before, during, and after programs.
  • Assist with birthday parties, weekend events, camps, practice times, and special programs as needed.
  • Learn class structure, child development basics, safety procedures, customer service standards, and The Little Gym teaching method.
  • Support the front desk/team when needed by greeting families, answering basic questions, and helping maintain a clean and organized facility.
  • Follow all safety, attendance, cleaning, parent communication, and team procedures.
  • Be reliable, on time, prepared, and positive for every scheduled shift.

The ideal candidate is someone who:
  • Really loves children and enjoys seeing them shine
  • Has high energy, strong work ethic and a friendly attitude.
  • Has experience in sports, gymnastics, dance, cheer, martial arts, fitness, coaching, childcare, camp counseling, teaching, or youth leadership.
  • Can work day, evening or weekend shifts
  • Has strong communication skills with both children and adults.
  • Can lead a group with energy, patience, and confidence.
  • Is comfortable being active during the entire shift, including demonstrating basic movement skills.
  • Can follow a lesson plan while still bringing warmth, personality, and enthusiasm.
  • Works well with a team and is open to coaching and feedback.
  • Can create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment for children.
  • A unicorn-looking for fun, a great work environment and a new future at The Little Gym.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with children is required.
  • Must be able to move actively throughout the shift, including bending, kneeling, lifting equipment, demonstrating movement, and assisting children safely.
  • Must be professional, neat, punctual, friendly, and dependable.
  • CPR/AED, First Aid, and Safesport training required within 30 days or before coaching a class.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching or coaching children ages 0-12.
  • Background in gymnastics, dance, cheer, tumbling, sports, physical education, recreation, early childhood education, or youth programming.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Comfort speaking with parents and explaining what children are learning in class.
  • Interest in child development, education, recreation, sports management, psychology, exercise science, or entrepreneurship.
