Job description

Scorekeeper Reports to: Recreation Supervisor - Sports, Recreation Coordinator Wage Starting at $15.00 per hour Season: May - August Location: Saratoga Primary Function The scorekeeper will keep score of Adult Softball/Kickball games at Saratoga and/or Buchner. Major Duties and Responsibilities 1. Complete score sheet, keeping track of hits(types), runs, outs, RBI, and errors

2. Operate score board with runs and outs. 3.

Announce game. 4. Assists in ensuring proper supervision of participants.

5. Responsible for customer service readiness. 6.

Responsible for on-site public relations. Appropriately handles questions and concerns at the site. Observes, enforces, and explains all facility rules and regulations.

7. Inspect area prior to use. 8.

Performs maintenance and general housekeeping of scorekeeping area. 9. Complete and submit payroll sheet each week.

Make sure timesheet is signed. 10. Attends and provides all in-service training, ongoing evaluations, and staff training.

Reviews current manual. 11. Ensures implementation of the facility emergency action plans and facility rules.

12. Communicates equipment and supply needs to the Recreation Supervisor - Sports or Recreation Coordinator. 13.

Report's maintenance concerns that are of immediate concern to the building staff and assist when needed. 14. Carries out additional duties as may be assigned by supervisory staff members.

Tentative Work Schedule: (End times maybe adjusted) Monday: 6:15 pm to 10:45 pm Tuesday: 6:15 pm to 10:45 pm Wednesday: 6:15 pm to 10:45 pm Thursday: 9:45 am to 12:30 pm Friday: 6:15 pm to 10:45 pm Sunday Hours: Only if necessary Position Qualifications 1. Must be at least 16 years of age or older. 2.

Must hold current certification: American Red Cross CPR or willing to attain. 3. Must have knowledge of scorekeeping, announce games, and run scoreboard.
