Job description

The Fairfield Inn is seeking a full-time or part-time Front Desk Agent. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and a drive to provide the best service possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and tend to guests in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Maintain a constant presence at the front desk.
  • Process check-ins and check-outs.
  • Complete required shift-specific checklist.
  • Handle billing, post charges, and collect payments.
  • Manage room availability, create reservations, and answer phone calls.
  • Possess general knowledge about the local area.
  • Anticipate guest needs, recognize issues and respond in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate with guests and other staff members.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping staff for room status and guest requests.
  • Manage security of guest information, keys, and cash drawer.
  • Comply with brand standards and promote brand loyalty.
  • Ensure cleanliness of front desk and lobby areas.
  • Multitask and prioritize work duties for maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain a professional appearance through dress and demeanor.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred customer service experience.
  • Preferred experience in the hotel industry.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours (accommodations can be made for all ADA qualified candidates).
  • Availability to include weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills.
